These materials will be included in our daily circle time activities to help students understand their emotions and ways to appropriately handle situations such as when a friend doesn't want to share. Also, these materials reinforce skills that build a great classroom community such as listening skills, clean-up examples, mealtime behavior, and calm down strategies. These books are board books which makes them perfect to be available to students who find it difficult to to turn pages of paper books due to fine motor skill deficits. Finally, I also included dolls from a variety of racial backgrounds so my students would have options when choosing which dolls they wanted to use when playing with peers.
