Math is more than adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. It’s about applying concepts to problem solve. Learning to work through problems has been challenging to my studnents. To help them overcome this challenge, I have to provide opportunities for them to practice thinking through the process. Providing a math-rich environment can me help cultivate math skills to lead students to success. A classroom Cricut will allow me to create a mathematically-rich classroom environment. Word walls, bulletin boards, manipulatives and help charts can be created to provide resources to problem solve and become great math thinkers. In addition, I can create personalized incentives for students as well as t-shirts for field trips and school events.
