When students' basic needs are met, students are able to focus on learning; clothing is one of those basic needs that can truly make a difference for students especially in middle school. Many of our students don't have enough clothes and as a result, wear the same clothes over multiple days. When middle school students wear the same clothes over multiple days, they are dirty and smelly, causing the student(s) to be self conscious or avoided/made fun of by other students. By providing those students in need with the clothes on this list, we are able to meet a basic need and help them feel more confident and ready to learn.
