As a bilingual librarian working in a Spanish-English Dual Immersion school, I believe that providing students with fun, relatable, and reliable books will help them in their journey! When I was a little girl learning English, I used books in order to learn! I want my students to have the same experience. Whether they are using the books for classroom work, essays, or for fun reading, they should have the opportunity to choose from a variety of books. Our current library doesn't have updated Dictionaries, Encyclopedia, or the most modern books. This year, I hope to make a difference by enticing their minds with a fun selection of books that they can see themselves reading. They will be able to check out the books so they can take them home, or keep them in their classrooms.
