These novels will be part of a group of modern works that students will be allowed to choose to read. Each quarter students read a novel of their choosing and these will all me to offer modern options as well as classics. I have already procured some novels for this project, but I need help getting the rest. Minority students are often underrepresented in the AP classroom and in the literature taught. These novels will allow different perspectives from those given by the canonical authors of the sixteenth to twentieth centuries. Added to the other novels I currently have available, I can reach more kids.
