My students are back on campus and we are tackling hybrid learning as well. I feel the items purchased will enhance engagement and creativity. All students need a little reminder that they are loved. Some students may also need some extra support/motivation, but sometimes are too shy to accept it from an outside person. I added some motivational posters to the bag because I want students to always know they are loved and supported by just taking a glance at their classroom walls. The desks in our classrooms are not very comfortable. I believe comfort should be a factor taken into consideration when trying to enhance learning. (not too comfy though, we wouldn't want them falling asleep either). This is why I purchased the cushion seats for them to apply above their student desk chairs. Nowadays, there's much controversy between accepting oneself and being accepted by others. I want my students to understand that they will always be accepted and welcomed to my classroom. I want them to feel safe and inviting. I purchased the 'welcome' banners and décor to hopefully fulfill that purpose. A very clean and organized environment is vital in the classroom. If I am clean and organized myself, it will be much easier for the students to tackle daily tasks in the class since organization also screams out discipline and structure. The organization cubes and cart I added will hopefully do the job.
