This IPad will give my students the same opportunity other students in higher-income neighborhoods have. Our laptops are outdated and my students get frustrated when they are trying to do their assignments. My students will utilize the iPad to research recent event topics and create video presentations. They will also use the iPad to read and write stories along with taking notes. Equity in technology can supplement education in new and exciting ways. Furthermore, like all learning, we must address issues of equity. We support LGBTQ students and help them develop their own competencies as experiential learning tools. Bringing this unique experience into the classroom will make unique learners for a brighter tomorrow.
