Reading and writing are the necessary fundamentals when engaging in academics. As we are learning through the screen, it has become a difficult task to stay organized and to fully support a developing first grader's reading and writing skills. Our last unit project is on Maps, resulting in having the child create their own city/town. With the writing material listed above, it will enable the teachers, students, and families to stay organized while distributing the necessary resources for this project in order to take a load off the families' hands while ensuring the success of the students' project. In addition, the notebooks are ideal for our developing first graders' writing skills along with having space to paste pictures and or draw out their thoughts. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in writing and researching. This project will only help enrich their experiences with the development of writing/creating books and brochures.
