Kindergarten can set the tone for learning. Some of my students have been in Pre-K and some come fresh from home. Some join the class with a head start on their letters and numbers and some have to start from scratch. No matter where they begin they are all excited to learn. We use every possible method to make progress towards the learning goals. They like hands-on activities and activities with movement. They do independent and whole group work. Every day is planned and packed full of activities. Even though they have done their best and made a lot of progress this year, summer is coming. They will need stimulation, motivation, and materials to help them keep their skills and knowledge current. The items on this list will be assembled into a special take-home package for each student for the summer. Each item has been carefully selected to allow them to work individually and with family support. The special take-home package will motivate and facilitate growth and happy learning over the summer months.
