The arts program at NSHS draws from all across the city of Chicago, which means the musical backgrounds of our students vary widely. We are looking to diversify our program not only to respect our students' whole identities as they enter high school, but also to strengthen their artistic identities for life after graduation. Our goal is to offer meaningful, relevant musical experiences through a variety of musical platforms, but we need the instruments to make it happen. Your donation will give my students the opportunity to explore, solidify, and express their understanding of who they are. Having access to instruments such as electric guitars and basses opens up countless musical doors for students to step into and grow their creative and collaborative skills. Such skills will ensure lifelong access to meaningful musical encounters. Thank you!
