I've been asking my school for a document camera ever since September. Having a document camera that I can bring to class and have at home is essential for my students since we have been in-and-out of school due to Covid-19. I believe that projecting and modeling my work would boost student learning and engagement because we can create our writing together as a class and they can benefit from live explicit instruction right in the spot. Also, I would love to have a printer that can print in color so that students' activities can be more visually appealing for them. Half of my class are ELL's (English Language Learners) and having colored activities will help them tremendously. Additionally, my class printer is low in toner and probably we won't get to have our beautiful activity sheets once it is all gone due to our school's low supply/materials. Once I get the printer, I will register for Insta-ink and not have to worry about ink any longer. Most of the time I have to purchase individual ink just so that my students can have resources that can help. Another thing that my class is in desperate need of is having good quality headphones. I purchased a few at the beginning of the school year and have been replaced multiple times (low quality). Some kids forget to bring the ones they have at home and it is an issue because students have their related services in the classroom while I'm teaching and the rest of the students often get distracted.
