Next year, I will have 36 fifth graders in my class. Due to current COVID restrictions, students must have their own school supplies and are unable to share. My goal for this project is to provide individual sets of supplies to each student in my class for use at home and at school. Each student will receive a bag containing all of their needed supplies to be used at home in case of distance learning or in the classroom for in-person learning. The bag will include crayons, colored pencils, colored markers, glue sticks, Sharpies, dry erase markers, oil pastels, and watercolor paint. Our families are struggling due to the stress of the pandemic. Providing these supplies will lessen the burden of back-to-school supply shopping. Also, students will feel empowered and ready to take on any assigned task because they will have the tools they need to be successful.
