I've been wanting to give all my students the opportunity the chance to play the Ticket to Ride Board game. An amazon gift for these board games would be an amazing addition to my my classroom. I am a 5th Grade Social Studies Teacher and I love incorporating an interactive, fun, engaging lesson on each new topic that I teach. This keeps students engaged and focused on content material. My students also know this and love it. They are always so excited when they came to class, eagerly waiting to find out what they will be completing in class for the day. I've been wanting to purchase a class set of this game for so long, but haven't had the classroom funds available for it. It would tie in nicely for a unit I have coming up in a month on regions of the United States and a states project that my students will also be completing. I know they would benefit greatly from it. Students will also be using critical thinking skills as they have to plan their routes they are traveling and when they are faced with challenges such as detours, they have to use quick decision making techniques to overcome challenges. So, it's a win-win! Having fun, using multiple skills, and learning all at the same time! The pencil sharpeners are desperately needed, as none of them work in my classroom. It can be very frustrating for my kids. The electric doorbell is a classroom management piece used to quickly grab my students attention and keep them quiet. It helps with transitioning and leaving the classroom. I would love to have this for my room.
