Students with special needs tend to have excessive energy, need more vestibular input and are sensory seeking which can negatively impact their learning. During the school day most kids are sitting over 80% of their day. Young children have lots of wiggles and excessive movements and can not get them out in a regular chair. Specialized seating is not just an accommodation on an IEP, it allows for improved focus, help sustain attention, better grades, and improve posture. The product that I have selected will help my students be able to pay attention better in class, improve their posture, and help them focus on the concepts being taught. The Wiggle Wobble Chair Feet will help give kids an outlet for excess energy while working and help alleviate their anxiety and hyperactivity while increasing focus. Rocking in all directions engages and strengthens core muscles for stronger backs and better posture.
