Time Magazine has been known for its interesting articles and captivating covers for years! TIME Magazine for KIDS is no different! My classes have had the chance to wow over articles that I previously had from an older magazine and they loved it! One article in particular talked about entomophagy (eating bugs). Many countries around the world do this as a protein source. My students had a chance to write an opinion piece to state if they were for or against the practice. The writings were awesome and the students were so excited about it! Writing about current events gets the children excited and ready to learn more about the world we live in. I feel that especially now, after spending time with virtual learning,my students will appreciate the physical hard copies of this beautiful weekly publication. I also know that this will be great for learning across all subjects of the fourth grade curriculum.
