As a first year teacher, I haven't had the income to be able to collect items to decorate my classroom. With everything we are doing being digital, I can't even decorate my room with work from my students. They'll be coming back to a bare bones white room with the few posters I've managed to find. I want this space to feel welcoming and fun, to inspire them to read and to adapt the growth mindset that they deserve. I want them to know, the moment they step into my room, that this is a safe space and that they will be loved and respected no matter who they are or where they are from. The requested posters will make my walls covered with role models that every student can look up to and give them talking point to start brave conversations.
