These books will have a great impact our out student population and their learning. Not only will they have access to newer books, but they will be able to see themselves in the books. Students that see representation of their culture feel more at home in a space and our school environment. Studies across multiple countries are finding that reading ability is one of the greatest predictors of future success, specifically engaged reading. These books will help to engage our students in reading and succeeding. Our population has a varied background and this will help everyone to find themselves in the stories and grow as readers and learners.
