These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. These books will be read over and over for years to come by me, and my students in a loving environment. I love bringing in texts about artists and stories we create art projects from! Reading is essential in and out of the art classroom! By bringing text into the art classroom, students who may be reluctant readers get more exposure to the written word! Art and literature is a powerful combo, especially for our younger friends! By bringing storybooks into the art classroom, students get to learn to read both text and art for clues about the stories contained.
