Art in an elementary classroom fosters reading, writing skills and also develops social-emotional learning. I design projects that connect to what they are learning with their classroom teacher. Students are learning to read with Art. Students are learning to count with Art. And students are gaining confidence and developing fortitude with their Art. We’ve been virtual most of the year with basic lessons, so these supplies will stock my classroom as we prepare to return to in-person learning. My students have been eager to paint, and your help will make this reality.
