The sensory tools requested through this project will help to create a calm and welcoming learning environment for our students to return to, as we transition back to in-person learning in just two weeks. We all know this past year was unlike any other...and it will take a lot of support to ensure our students can return to school in a calm and comfortable fashion, with their mental well-being at the top of our list. These items (wobble seats, fidget accessories, therabands, stress balls, etc) will help students focus on the present moment and have been proven to reduce anxiety tremendously. They are also a way for children to self-soothe, which is an incredible life skill to have!
