The materials selected will provide opportunities for hands-on learning in science and mathematics. The safety goggles will allow our students to complete science investigations with various materials safely. My students have watched demonstrations for science because they lack the necessary protective gear. Additionally, this project will enhance our class library by providing students with books that focus on mathematical content. The students will have an opportunity to see mathematics being applied in various ways by reading these stories. Lastly, students will be able to display their work while working in small groups or with the entire class by using their write and wipe mathematics boards.
