This project will allow students to have more choice in the books they read and to be more engaged as they discuss their reading with a small group of peers. Students will read and discuss books together, then create a project to share with the rest of the class. Student motivation seems to flag at the end of the school year, so allowing students to choose books that align with their interests will increase engagement, and allowing them to discuss and create with a chosen group will make their learning more meaningful and personalized.
