This is my second year teaching and my first year at this grade level and school. I came into a classroom that is almost empty. My students have very few materials, such as math manipulatives, math games, books - especially themed books, science supplies and social studies curriculum supplements. My students would benefit from being able to have hands on materials, especially after being home for a year due to the pandemic. Some specific supplies would include fake money to teach financial literacy, personal clocks to teach time, math games to help students practice their place value and multiplication facts, and students need numerous supplies (string, post its, small cups) for science projects and experiments. The calendar would be used each day to demonstrate the day.
