The students at our school are aspiring to become heroes in our community. While they want to help their community now and in the future, they need some help of their own before attaining their goals. Since most of our students are low-income, they cannot afford calculators or other technological supplies on their own. Many of our students also aspire to become first-generation college graduates before starting their public service careers. Having a set of updated calculators would greatly help these students flourish in geometry and AP Statistics, which are difficult classes without the aid of an upgraded graphing calculator. I teach all grade levels and will be able to teach them all how to use these amazing calculators. Getting students familiar with these advanced calculators will help them in their current classes as well as better prepare them for college courses requiring higher functioning calculators.
