As a music teacher, I believe it is my job to keep instilling creativity in my students that they have shown me time and time again for song writing. We've had numerous students writing their own songs to share with me and perform in our virtual talent show this year. Having these ukuleles would help me empower students to learn an instrument that is easily accessible at any store in the future that can be used to pursue songwriting futurer, as instruments like piano and guitars can be expensive to buy. I would specifically use this to teach students how to play ukulele chords and various techniques that they can master for them to use in their final song writing project. In this semester long project, I will be collaborating with their homeroom teachers as well for the poetry/lyric writing portion and how those relate to each other.
