These materials will be used for students who are in-person and for those at home. I am in the process of building a SEL library for teachers to be able to borrow SEL materials to run centers and activity stations with their classes during social-emotional learning blocks. These items will be also be used for our social skills groups and for individual counseling sessions. We run our counseling support groups once a week when all students are remote, and we are organizing tool kits to deliver to our students' homes so they have everything they need to participate in each session's activities. Your donation will help our students to have access to books and calm-down items at home, where they sometimes need the most support to cope and heal. These items will also help our families to support the children practicing their coping skills at home.
