This project will provide each student with an owl pellet of their own as we discover and explore the world of animal adaptations. Nothing is more engaging than hands-on experiences. Students will become scientists who can examine and explain what owls eat using evidence-based information to discuss and write about their findings. Our third ELA unit of the year focuses on animal adaptations, and this project will provide us an alternative to just reading about these adaptations. Students will be engaged in their learning and will share their findings with others via Book Creator and blogs while they become animal experts through dissection.
