The kids at our school are fortunately exposed to many awesome things thru technology! However, the great outdoors has so much to offer. I would like to help children go back outdoors to learn and have fun while doing a job. Gardening can be so rewarding. Watching something you are caring for grow is a great way to encourage the kids. They will get the chance to get a little dirt under their nails and sun on their faces as they help make this garden take shape! They can work together to make something out of nothing! It is an open landscape and right by our outdoor learning classroom! We have the spot, now we just need the supplies! We will start by building the beds and getting the soil inside. Then we will start with a spring/summer garden and will end with a fall/ winter garden. Year-round they will see things take shape and finish. What a great lesson in science!
