The vast majority of my students are learning from home currently. I am asking for a tablet because I can quickly grade their papers and give them that handwritten feedback that I miss doing for all the in-person students. With the use of the tablet, I can write on documents, and my students can see a more personal touch to their work. I like the idea of being more involved with my students education rather than just a face on a Google Meet.
Lots of my students struggle to stay organized and frequently forget to turn in assignments. I would love to have some additional binders that I can have all the papers we use in the online setting printed out, so that they can do school work like they used to do. I can also create a schedule with reminders for them to do their work on time and who to submit their school work to.
My in-person students definitely are getting a better education since they are sitting directly in front of me. However my classroom lacks shelving. This means that books are just in piles or stuffed away inside of a locked cabinet. I would love to display class favorites so that other students can pick out a book to read. I have lots of books in my room (English teacher), but not a lot of places to put them.
Lastly I am teaching a brand new class this year. I am a second year teacher who luckily had some lessons planned out from student teaching. I am teaching a class that I have never taught before all about struggling readers and writers. I would love to find lessons on Teachers Pay Teachers that are about reading interventions. Please help my dreams become a reality!
