Many students in elementary school are not only visual and auditory learners, they are kinesthetic (movement) and tactile (touch/feel) learners. By brining in more manipulatives, it will help each student have their own set to touch, move and see how and why processes in math work together. With each student being able to have their own set, we do not have to share manipulatives as we are face-to-face during this strange time in which we are living. This would allow us, if we were to have to go home and learn again, to send one set with each child, similar to how we check out library books.
