A goal for my classroom is to be able to put physical math manipulatives into the hands of every student. I have been slowly gathering materials to put together a first grade math tool kit. With the materials listed, my students will have hands on materials that will help them with math projects in the classroom! By obtaining a class set of zipper pouches and the fidget tools, students will have an entire kit all to themselves that has every item they need at their fingertips! I will not have to spend class time distributing materials. Students will not have to wait their turn for materials to use. They will have their own kits that will save our class time and allow time for more instruction and hands-on learning to take place! The tools I am asking for will also be flexible tools. They have many different uses! I will be able to use them for concepts in math as well as phonics and literacy instruction. They are a multi-use tool that will allow my students to be successful in STEM and beyond! Thank you for making a difference in my classroom.
