My students are incredible artists! However, this year my class is one of the only groups not receiving art class. I have been doing my best to make up for it. Each week we have a designated drawing time where we let the creativity flow. I also try and incorporate as many creative components into our projects as I can. The art my students make is thoughtful, beautiful, and empowered. Whether we are working on detailed animal studies, enticing campaign posters, or heartfelt family portraits, my students put their all into it. I am consistently blown away. We have made it half way through the year with the supplies that were leftover from last year, but we need to re-up if we want to keep the creative juices flowing. Please help us bring color into these sometimes dark days with the markers, colored pencils, and pencil sharpeners that I have requested!
