My students are eager to volunteer their thoughts, questions, and wonderings during lessons and discussions. I love having the ability to monitor student engagement and student desires to contribute to learning. Students regularly miss opportunities to share what's on their minds because their teacher cannot see them and the material being presented simultaneously. Often times, students naturally raise their human hands, instead of indicating with their virtual hands, that they desire to be heard. Sadly, these efforts go unnoticed, as I struggle to toggle back and forth between the students and the material I wish to present to them. Utilizing a second screen during remote learning would greatly benefit all involved, and help resolve some technological issues.
