My students are learning organizational skills and how to properly use and store learning materials. Most of my students have never attended daycare or preschool and this is their first experience in a structured environment. This storage will provide them the space and opportunity to learn how to stay organized. This is a skill that will follow them all the way through college! The individual storage will also help students to keep their materials separate from others. This will help reduce germs and provide a sense of ownership and pride.
