These students are in an outdoor education class and one of the units is fishing. Up until now, they've learned the just the basics using worms and a bobber. I would like to expand this by teaching them how to make their own lures. This will give them the ability to understand what the fish are looking for, outside the box thinking, and it will express their artistic ability as they try to make their lures look like real insects and other yummy fish foods. This will give them the confidence and ability to go out on their own and hopefully catch many fish!
