These materials will provide the students an opportunity to work on identifying and expressing a variety of vocabulary which in turn will increase their communication skills. Both my non-verbal and verbal students will use the materials in the speech therapy setting as well as the classroom setting to work on generalization of skills. My students learn best by repetition and routine and having materials that can be passed between the two settings for aides and the classroom teachers to use will greatly benefit the students! The number of materials requested will be enough to share across the three classrooms and a communication/vocabulary station can be created in each room. Giving a child the gift of communication opens up many doors!
