These ties and pearls will have a profound impact on my students' self-confidence during debate tournaments. My students are impoverished, and in the past, when they competed against other schools, the students looked very polished and professional. When my students compared their appearances to their competitors, they noticed how different they looked, and it intimidated them. I want to help my students look as polished as their debate speeches, and I want them to feel as astute as their questions during cross-examination during their tournaments. This will give them the push they need. GHMS has had a debate team for the past two years. During our second year, we became an award-winning team. As their coach, I want them to have everything they need to be successful. With your help, my students will feel excited and motivated to do their very best!
