The "One and Only Ivan" is a story about a gorilla. It is a short book with some pictures that will allow my students to not only understand the content on their level, but to visualize what is being read. The book will be used in our classroom and also remote for students that are not in the physical building. Books are an avenue that help our students with disabilities reach higher possibilities. This book will help them understand perspective and empathy by learning about atrocities surrounding animals in confinement.
