I believe this air purifier for the classroom will give parents and students some peace of mind during this difficult time that we found has enveloped our world. I believe that this air purifier is just another layer of protection for students, their families, and myself. As students transition their way back into the classroom, this will serve as a way to stop the spread of germs and bacteria by cleaning the air surrounding the students.
My students were in the first grade when this pandemic hit. Many did not understand that they were no longer able to school with their friends. They did not understand why every time they left the house they would have to wear a mask. They did not understand that birthdays and other family celebrations had to be canceled or cut to just a few people. Many did not understand in the beginning that they had to remain in the house and not go out to restaurants, spend the night at a friend's house or even go visit Grandma and Grandpa each week like they use to. This was a strain for many of them. I hope that with this simple device we can at least slow the spread of this common enemy within the classroom.
