I am highly interested in ditching the old notes-and-homework lesson style in favor of learning how to to implement project-based learning (PBL) opportunities. PBL will engage my students and provide them with greater life skills such as collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking, better preparing them for the "real-world". Help me beat the boredom with Project-Based Learning! My students deserve to have a teacher who is inspired and capable of implementing rigorous, standards-based projects. I want to make changes to improve my students' experiences at school, and I need some professional development to help me move forward with my goals. PBLWorks' summer workshop will be highly beneficial in helping me get started with creating PBL lessons with a group of like-minded educators.
