Kindle Fires will allow for flexible learning in the classroom. This will open up a whole new world of opportunities for the students to explore, research, and learn. We will be able to create better group rotations during a lesson as well as provide enrichment and intervention for specific needs of each student. Kindle Fires will allow us to be mobile in the classroom and not tied down to a desktop computer or textbook. Students will be able to take the Kindles outside and around the classroom as they do research and complete projects and assignments. They will also help our English Language Learner students to look up information in their native language as well as translating information seen and heard in the classroom. With these Kindle Fires, my tech driven students will find the fun in every lesson and assignment. Almost every child nowadays knows how to use some piece of technology. Kindles will allow my students to use that knowledge they already have and further their understanding of the world around them.
