These earphones will enhance the learner centered classroom I strive to create. My science class—virtual or in person—is one students enjoy. I meet the needs of diverse learners. Every video I upload to their online learning program was created or found by me with intent and care. All videos are made or selected with my learners in mind. I have watched them not just grow in their understanding of science concepts, but more importantly in their ability to be independent and responsible lifelong learners. With these earphones, my learners will be able to choose from a variety of videos I make and select to allow them to learn independently at their own pace. They will also be able to work in groups and help each other. The best way to increase independent learning is to practice learning independently; these earphones will allow for just that. My learners already show an amazing interest at independent research and learning, and this project will significantly improve their ability to do just that.
