Creating a warm and inviting learning environment with an educational carpet creates a visual space for students to go and sit, be excited about learning and provides dedicated space for specific activities. A soft carpet, that reduce noise and sound, provides an active and engaged learning classroom. There are many ways our classroom would utilize this educational carpet. As a teacher, I would use the carpet to have my students sit on the floor as this listen to books read aloud, share student projects and listen to music. My kindergarteners would use this space for reading sentence strips with high frequency words and partner talk. Third and fourth grades would use this space to work quietly with a partner on a project. This carpet would enrich our classroom environment for my culturally linguistically diverse students and make learning English even more enjoyable and interactive.
