Fractions Is one of the most consequential mathematical topics for students in 4th grade. Understanding the nature of fractions helps them to build a foundation for many other complex mathematical concepts. Due to the abstract nature of fractions, it can be a remarkably challenging topics for young students. The fraction tiles I am requesting will assist my students in making the abstract nature of fractions more concrete and accessible. It will help them to build and develop greater success in this mathematical domain. Since all of my students are learning from home, having access to a white board and markers will help them to share their work and greatly enhance my ability to address any errors or misconceptions that may be occurring.
