During virtual learning, students have been struggling with motivation. Quartine has been a struggle for students. I will be using the extra monitor and large clock to motivate students with timed contests to help bring back the FUN in FUNdamentals. Students need a reason to log in every day and feel good while they learn. When I give students motivational surveys and ask them what they enjoy doing with their free time, they mostly respond, "I enjoy video games." My main focus in teaching English Language Arts is to help students succeed next year in high school. Well, I know that the more I can make learning like a game, the more they will SHOW up for my class and learn valuable skills for freshman year in English. If you have it in your budget to share.
