It is always a favorite, as it imparts such universal truths and teaches Chinese culture, as many of the characters, settings, and themes are taken from traditional Chinese folklore. Every child will have their own copy to read, annotate, and keep forever. It is my dream to end this historic school year together, sharing this enchanting adventure, taking in the evocative language, the rich imagery, and savoring the theme of gratitude and faith.
