Due to COVID 19, my high school classes are 100% online and that means I am often up until midnight or later developing online curriculum. Although I've taught for nearly 10 years, I am spending an incredible amount of time transferring my lessons into online, student ready content. I am doing my absolute best, but I am exhausted and I'm turning to DonorsChoose in the hopes that I can raise money to buy high quality curriculum that is made for online learning to supplement what I am creating. My school does not have the funds to pay for more training, so the teachers have had to teach ourselves to deliver online instruction and the curriculum that I've purchased from Teachers Pay Teachers has been a life saver. Teachers Pay Teachers has awesome already made, ready to use curriculum that will bring my distance learning instruction to the next level: it's a lifeline that I desperately need right now! Offering online classes certainly helps students who would otherwise not be able to attend in-room class sessions due to the virus. However, they require an intense amount of time to create and it's a significant investment to purchase the curriculum out of pocket. Financial assistance to buy online curriculum would make a huge difference in my life and the educational experience of my students.
