All students should have the right to access their education with the supports that they need to be successful. As advocates, our child study team has a goal to ensure that all students on our caseloads should be provided with tools that allow them to focus and self-regulate. This may look like using a stress ball, putty or a popping tool. We believe that all tools should be individual to what that specific student needs and we are asking for you to help carry out this mission. In order to best support our students this school year, we must provide individual sensory objects to maintain safety protocol due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. With many of our students returning to in-person learning 5 days a week, we aim to accomplish this as soon as possible. When students are given the opportunity to choose a tool to regulate, they feel empowered to take control of their learning. Thank you for considering our mission to support students’ unique needs in the classroom and ensuring student success.
