These last few years have proven that flexibility is key to learning. In the past, I have used a traditional book to teach and it gets stale and boring for me and the students. As many teachers, I reevaluated and found that students really enjoyed getting away from the book. So I started making all of my materials and supplementing with outside resources. Unfortunately, this was not sustainable. I found myself working from the time I got home until the time I went to bed to maintain all of my responsibilities. Finally, I found a curriculum that better fits me and my students. This curriculum is hosted by two wonderful teachers through Google Slides. It encourages students to engage in German with real-life situations, has relatable social media examples, and gives students and teachers flexibility. As a teacher, I can use this resource to print out material, supplement with my own material, break up lessons, make things accessible online and more.
