Hi! I am a first year Spanish teacher in a pandemic!! My students are very interested in traveling abroad to other countries and learning languages. Many of my students are native, and have knowledge to contribute to class discussions. Those who are not native, show great awareness for other cultures and express deep interest in learning more about cultures of el mundo hispanohablante. Having a second monitor would provide me the opportunity of exposing my students to the language and culture they crave to know more about. The authentic resources (magazines) will further provide cultural information in the target language. The authentic resource (magazines) will be used for both virtual and in - person learning. My school is soon transitioning to a hybrid model, and having a monitor will also help me to give adequate instruction to my students. I am very adamant about giving my students the best education to my ability. Spanish is such a great language and is linked to such a beautiful culture. World language classes don't have enough resources as it is.
